TOURNAMENTS
$50K GLORY PKO
It was a Sunday to remember for ‘wanko’ from Japan after they earned the KKPOKER $50K GLORY title on 20 August!
424 players competed, with PKO bounties on their heads and the chance of winning five-figure prizes!
When the field was whittled down to the final 3 players, ‘ ケロー’ was the short stack for a long time, playing with less than 10BB and desperately finding a way to double-up.
As the hands went by, their chip stack gradually reduced and they were forced to make their move with only 2BB and holding the promising A♥ Q♦ starting hand. ‘なんだろう’ called their all in with 9♦ 4♦ and the flop fell K♥ K♦ 3♣. The turn 10♣ was a safe card for ‘ケロー’ but the 9♠ on the river sealed their elimination in third place for a $3,050 prize.
‘なんだろう’ held a slight chip lead over ‘wanko’ at the start of heads-up action, but the stacks evened out very quickly, with all to play for.
‘なんだろう’ had already collected an impressive 14 bounty prizes throughout the KKPoker tournament and was desperately battling to claim their 15th!
But ‘wanko’ was able to build up a 2-to-1 chip lead after winning a series of small pots, and ‘なんだろう’was eventually reduced to just 10 Big Blinds and moved all in from the Button holding K♥ J♦, which was called by A♣ 4♥.
‘なんだろう’ needed help to survive, but the 3♠ 3♥ 10♦ 6♠ A♥ fell completely in the favor of ‘wanko’ for their deserved victory!

$30K HIGH ROLLER PKO
Being a KKPoker High Roller player means a weekly battle among the best and the ultimate test of poker patience, persistence and determination, which is exactly what this week’s winner ‘meONLY’ showed to claim the $30K HIGH ROLLER title!
The field of 130 players entered the action on Saturday, 19 August, and in the final three included player ‘kk482683’.
With Blinds at 30K/60K, ‘kk482683’ raised to 120K with K♥ 8♠. ‘meONLY’ called from the Small Blind with K♠ J♥ and the flop fell J♠ 5♦ 2♣. Both players checked and the K♣ appeared on the turn. Holding top two pair, ‘meONLY’ check-raised a 139K bet to 556K, and ‘kk482683’ moved all for 820K total and was, of course, called.
The 4♦ on the river changed nothing, and ‘kk482683’ departed in third place for $2,990.
‘meONLY’ held the heads-up chip lead and managed to preserve that advantage well before increasing their hold on the action before a very dramatic final hand played out!
‘meONLY’ called from the Button for 80K with 10♦ 8♦ and ‘mihooooo’ raised to 240K with A♠ A♣. ‘meONLY’ called and the 10♥ 7♦ 5♠ flop gave them top pair, but still losing to the overpair. ‘mihooooo’ set the trap by checking and ‘meONLY’ bet a pot-sized amount of 504K, which allowed ‘mihooooo’ to move all in for 1.2M.
‘meONLY’ snap-called and saw the bad news, only for their shock to change into delight when the 8♥ appeared on the turn to give them two pair.
‘mihooooo’ needed to improve their holding on the river, but the 4♥ was no help, resulting in a crashing elimination as runner-up for $4,500, with ‘meONLY’ taking $7,418 as champion.

$20K GLORY WARM-UP
‘tadamasa’ became a two-time $20K GLORY WARM-UP champion on Sunday, 20 August, after coming through a 169-player field.
‘tadamasa’ who won the KKPOKER tournament for the first time back on the 25th June 2023, was joined in the final three by ‘Tardigrade’ and ‘SCE$AAR’.
‘tadamasa’ raised to 88K with blinds at 20K/40K holding Q♣ J♠ and ‘Tardigrade’ shoved for 281K from the Small Blind with A♠ Q♥. ‘SCE$AAR’ called holding K♣ 10♣ and ‘tadamasa’ folded.
‘SCE$AAR’ took the lead on the K♥ 7♠ 5♥ flop and held as the board completed 3♦ & 6♣ to take the action to heads-up.
The second GLORY WARM-UP title was in the hands of ‘tadamasa’ who held the chip lead, and that’s the way it stayed for several hands until ‘SCE$AAR’ found a breakthrough.
With blinds at 30K/60K, ‘tadamasa’ raised to 150K with A♥ 5♠. ‘SCE$AAR’ three-bet to 450K with A♣ K♥ and ‘tadamasa’ called. Both players checked holding top pair on the A♦ 6♥ 3♣ flop before ‘SCE$AAR’ bet 306K on the 10♣ turn, which was called. On the 2♣ river, ‘SCE$AAR’ shove for 1.1M into the 1.5M pot and received a delayed call to double up.
It was all to change again just two hands later, however, after ‘tadamasa’ raised to 150K on the Button with 8♣ 4♣ and ‘SCE$AAR’ called with K♥ J♥. They both checked on the A♣ J♦ 8♠ flop to see the 10♣ turn. ‘SCE$AAR’ bet 80K and called after being raised to 240K.
The Q♣ on the river was dramatic, as it gave ‘SCE$AAR’ a straight and ‘tadamasa’ a flush.
With 800K in the pot, ‘SCE$AAR’ shoved for 3.2M and ‘tadamasa’ called for 2.1M to take a 5-to-1 chip lead.
Moments later, the final hand occurred, which started with ‘SCE$AAR’ calling on the Button with K♠ 2♠ and ‘tadamasa’ checking with 8♥ 6♦. The action checked through on the 5♠ 8♣ 4♣ flop to reveal the 8♠ turn.
The 6♠ on the river saw ‘SCE$AAR’ move all in with a flush, and ‘tadamasa’ called having hit a full house to win the pot and the tournament once again!
