Introducing the final 2025 KKPoker Vegas Dream winner, Jesse Kennedy.

The Canadian came through the qualifier final to win a $12,000 live poker package and the chance of a lifetime in the world’s largest $10,000 main event tournament.

Jesse has nearly 20 years of experience in poker and will now have the chance to fulfil his dream of competing in poker’s biggest live tournament series.

“I was screaming in the house…”

Jesse, congratulations on winning a KKPoker Vegas Dream $12,000 package, and becoming a KKElite Team Member! How did you react upon winning?

“I was screaming in the house I paced back and forth, I went to announce the news to my girlfriend and my daughter. I was so excited that I even had to go in my car to bring my emotions down.”

I have always dreamed of being part of the world series and especially the main event. Obviously, winning this tournament would
change my goals and my life.

Can you share a key moment from the Vegas Dream Qualifier Final tournament?

At one point in the tournament, I went all in with ace-king and the other player with an ace and a jack. Everything was going well until the river came and his jack came out. I thought I was eliminated from the tournament, but I still had about 15 thousand chips left. After going all in several times, I managed to make it to the heads-up final, and it was with a lot of stress and concentration that I succeeded.

What’s your poker background? And how do you plan to prepare for the opportunity in Vegas?

I started playing poker in 2007 and I tried several different sites before finding KK Poker about two years ago, which is now my favorite.

My plans are to prepare myself mentally to stay focused, and I also intend to participate in small tournaments to be ready for the big day and especially to enjoy the moment. I am a welder, so I need to stay focused for long periods of time, so I can say that this is beneficial when it’s time to play.

Who is a poker player you look up to for inspiration?

My player is Daniel Negreanu, he is the best Canadian player. He reads other players’ games very well, which has always impressed me.

What do you enjoy doing outside of poker?

I really love playing golf and also mountain biking in places with a beautiful view and listening to hockey matches.

What advice would you give new poker players, and those looking to get live poker opportunities?

It’s true that when you start, it can be intimidating, but you just have to try to breathe and have confidence in yourself. Be patient, but do not be afraid to bluff, and have fun.

I advise playing satellite tournaments to win tickets for bigger tournaments that will allow you to win larger amounts with a reduced starting wager.
